no use looking for a fabulous sunset
when there’s bollox-all on the horizon,
it may not seem as much fun, but in time
you’ll find a hidden freshness
in your attitude towards the geography of life,
things like a landscape splashed in purple
will come as a bonus,
not to mention the distant sound of midnight church bells
