on a match to a flame,
when the winters roll
hard as ever round again
like invisible heat
like a turquoise streak
above a barren land
of glacial fury?
plateau history
wild with storm leaves
blown profoundly
where do we find
the time to return
to the deeper ground
to time as a circle
and not a line
thinly defining
our place on the road?
